Welcome to the Army Spouses' Club

The Army Spouses' Club of the Greater Washington Area (ASCGWA), a non-profit organization, strives to provide and promote socio-economic and educational outreach to the soldiers, family members, and Department of the Army (DA) civilians assigned to, attached to, or with duty in the National Capital Region (NCR) and to organizations which benefit soldiers, as well as to encourage, support, and maintain interaction of our membership.

As the Army Spouses’ Club, we are proud of our heritage, inspired by our diversity, and excited about our future! We make it easy to connect with old friends and make new ones through a wide array of activities, including monthly luncheons, tours, volunteer and fundraising opportunities, and other social functions. The DC area has so much to experience; why not come join us and experience it with us? We can’t wait to meet you!

Members of the Army Spouses' Club of the Greater Washington Area live throughout the metro area in Washington D.C., Maryland, and Virginia, including Joint Base Fort Myer-Henderson Hall, Fort McNair, and Fort Belvoir. We hope you become a member. To join please visit our membership page.

Membership is voluntary and open to spouses of: military members of the U.S. Army and the other Military Services who are active duty, in the Reserve Components, National Guard, retired from active duty, retired from reserve component duty, and those separated from service who maintain eligibility for rights and privileges that accompany the family member ID and DA civilians. President's Message

WOW! It is hard to believe it is already May, and our wonderful ASCGWA year is coming to a close. I am so honored and humbled to have served as your club President, supporting all of our extraordinary members, and I am also incredibly excited to continue in this position next year. Thank you for your support, and I look forward to the amazing adventures ahead!

I would like to thank each member of our ASCGWA board for all of their hard work and sacrifices. Without their creativity, teamwork, and enthusiasm, none of our club’s luncheons, tours, and events would have been possible. Their devotion of time and energy towards making this year one to remember have left an indelible impression. I look forward to serving with our new Executive Board next year. If you are looking for ways to get more involved, there are still board member positions, committee chairs, and other great opportunities available.

A special thank you to our Honorary Officers, Maria McConville, Alexandra Grinston, and Leann Martin. Your guidance and support has been a blessing to this organization.

Speaking of all of the wonderful activities, which one of you bet on the winning horse at our Kentucky Derby? And how about those stunning hats? Thank you to Becki for another entertaining program and to our 2nd VPs, Paula Ann and Diane, who transformed our luncheon into a Run for the Roses.

We hope you will join us at our Spring Luau Luncheon with our Silent/Live Auction. You will not want to miss our final event for the year! We have many fabulous baskets up for grabs, an exciting Hula lesson, and many other surprises! It is sure to get everyone feeling the sunshine and vibes as we head into the summer!

Lastly, there are many important events this month celebrating the service and sacrifice of our Service Members—and all of our wonderful Mother’s out there celebrating Mother’s Day! I encourage you all to get out and enjoy everything that our wonderful community and our National Capital Region have to offer.
