Welcome to the Army Spouses' Club
The Army Spouses' Club of the Greater Washington Area (ASCGWA), a non-profit organization, strives to provide and promote socio-economic and educational outreach to the soldiers, family members, and Department of the Army (DA) civilians assigned to, attached to, or with duty in the National Capital Region (NCR) and to organizations which benefit soldiers, as well as to encourage, support, and maintain interaction of our membership.
As the Army Spouses’ Club, we are proud of our heritage, inspired by our diversity, and excited about our future! We make it easy to connect with old friends and make new ones through a wide array of activities, including monthly luncheons, tours, volunteer and fundraising opportunities, and other social functions. The DC area has so much to experience; why not come join us and experience it with us? We can’t wait to meet you!
Members of the Army Spouses' Club of the Greater Washington Area live throughout the metro area in Washington D.C., Maryland, and Virginia, including Joint Base Fort Myer-Henderson Hall, Fort McNair, and Fort Belvoir. We hope you become a member. To join please visit our membership page.

March is here! That means Spring is almost here! And the Scholarship Season is upon us! Wow, wow, wow! It seems like a lifetime ago when this crazy virus spread around the world like wildfire. Let’s hope the vaccine gets around just as fast. Hopefully, everyone who is eligible has registered for their first dose, and maybe some of you have already had your second! I am
thinking about all of you today and hope you and your families are staying healthy. I can see the light at the end of the tunnel. Some schools are back doing in person classes! Maybe we will get to do another event in person this year! Won’t that be fun to see everyone again? I know I am looking forward to it.
This month we have the Ruins of Presidents Park tour. I think there is still room. You are welcome to invite family and friends on this one, it is on a Saturday so everyone can participate. There is limited space so sign up now!
It’s also Election Season in ASCGWA. We are looking for nominations and volunteers. If you are interested or want to nominate someone please email our Parliamentarian Jennifer Stepetic email@example.com.
Our March virtual luncheon is on the Thursday, March 18th and will feature an Italian Cooking class with Chef Danilo from Orofino in Fredericksburg. I am really looking forward to see what he is cooking up for us! Thank you, again, to all our board members for making every event as special as possible, given the circumstances we are facing this year. It has been a little bit of a struggle finding things to do; however, this board is always on their toes and they pull through every time! Be on the lookout for emails and flyers for future events. Don’t forget the Ways and Means store is online in the membership section of our website.
