     Living in a new country is an adventure, and it’s always better when you have friends to share it with! Since 1976, the Army Spouses’ Club has welcomed military spouses from around the world, creating friendships that cross cultures, countries, and continents.

     As an International Member, you’ll have the opportunity to meet American military spouses as well as fellow international spouses, experience life in the Washington area, and enjoy everything ASCGWA has to offer—from luncheons and special events to tours, social gatherings, and our many clubs and interest groups.

 Whether you’ll be in Washington for one year or several, we’d love for ASCGWA to become part of your home away from home.

Who Can Join?

Please join us if you are:

  • The SPOUSE of an accredited Defense, Military, Air Force, or Naval Attaché or Assistant Attaché assigned to an embassy in Washington, D.C.; or
  • The SPOUSE of a foreign military officer or civilian employee, sponsored by their embassy, who is assigned to duties in the National Capital Region.


Your Membership

Annual membership is $45 and opens the door to a full year of ASCGWA activities and opportunities, including:

  • Luncheons and special events throughout the year
  • Tours and opportunities to explore Washington and the surrounding area
  • Clubs and interest groups where it’s easy to meet people who enjoy the same things you do
  • Our monthly Backchannels newsletter
  • Our online Member Directory
  • Opportunities to bring a guest to select events
